Mailing and Commissary Information
Coweta County Jail allows correspondence with inmates via mail. Personal mail should not be addressed to the Coweta County Jail directly to avoid it being returned to the sender. Instead, all personal postcards must now be addressed to a JailATM processing address in Atlanta. At this location, each mail is scanned before it is delivered digitally to the inmate. All personal mail must be sent on postcards only with postcard size requirements of a minimum of 3.5 inches by 4.25 inches and a maximum size of 4.25 inches by 6 inches. It must be written in blue or black ink only, white in color, and either metered or bearing a preprinted stamp.
Books or publications cannot be mailed to inmates anymore. The Jail Division is working to provide inmates with a digital library of over 2,000 publications on their tablets. Inmate religious material may be purchased through the commissary provider or requested from the Jail Chaplain. Subscriptions to the Newnan Times-Herald newspaper are not affected by this change and continue to be accepted.
